6:30 am. 14 degrees.

Not too cold out. The sun was shining, which lit everything up and raised spirits. This time of year is the time when my boots get soaked in the morning and freeze to my feet by the afternoon, but other than that, it was a great day. We created a master list of dogs and their harnesses (a constant point of guess work for me) and may even laminate some name tags for harnesses.

We had two groups of five sleds each, so went out in one group. I stayed back in the morning and went out with Brian in the afternoon. Everyone did a great job which made my job easy as I got to watch the scenery go by.

I’m trying to convince all that the tall rock we pass after the meadow should be called chicken-head rock. So far, it’s not going over well.
