6:30 am. 23 degrees.

The day turned beautiful with the sun shining. Our morning tours cancelled with stomach flu, so B-bear and I were able to get through poop and water before Kris called and offered brunch at his place. I was starving even though it was only 10:30. We had breakfast burritos and half a bagel and I was a happy girl. We got sleds set up for the afternoon, made food and set out on tour.

I was relegated/condemned to front position, which I will probably hold for the rest of the season. The tour went well and people were respectful fo the dogs which was great. The sun was beating down and cool air filled my lungs. It feels like my soul has been on fire and I couldn’t get enough of the cold air in my face and through my sweater.

It had cooled by the time we got back to the kennel and all was well, until I went through to make sure every one had eaten. Grizzley hadn’t, so as I reached to take his food away to give it to another dog, he lifted his head and smashed my lip so hard I started cursing and crying at the same time. He felt horrible and I had only wanted a completely good day.
