6:30 am. -3 degrees.

Frosty morning, but as it was our first day of double tours – one in the morning and one in the afternoon, the effort to get everything ready kept me warm. E-bear and I gave the dogs baited water then set up harnesses, sleds, lines, snowmobiles and radios. We managed to get everything ready before dogs showed up. Snow, one of the dogs was having a happy dream including a female dog (we think) and was exercising his love making abilities with the air which got the kennel excited during the speech. Not much we could do for it but watch and laugh.

The tours went well all day. No one tipped over on our trip and the dogs are looking good! Kris’ race team had been running tours twice a day and are still ready to go when we get back. Their strength and enthusiasm is to be envied. I feel as if I should take up jogging or running to experience it, then the call of a warm fire and sofa calls!
