7:30 am. -9 degrees.
Was one of the mornings where the snot inside your nose freezes and the hair around your face turns white. I doubled up hats for extra warmth and that helped with my feet being two ice blocks on the end of my legs.
I ran Cobra with Axle, but Axle decided he was more interested in swiping snow and pulling the team in one direction or another, so switched him with Duke halfway. Had a bunch of female puppies coming into heat which was distracted the males as well as giving the females a chance to goof off. They sorted themselves out for most of the way, but preferred snuggling up to the men when they could.
Could tell the dogs are getting stronger after only two runs around the 10.5 mile loop. The uphills are coming easier for them and the muscles are building.
One of our dogs Bandit has been choosen as a Spiffy Dog in the UK. He’s a handsome dog with more traditional husky features. They are going to use one of Stubird’s pictures and I sent a few more that I snuck in thisĀ morning before work.
Finally warmed up as the sun came out and watched for tracks in the snow to see what other critters have been using our path.
